It will mark that remarkable anniversary from 15 to 24 January in collaboration with a special partner country. Morocco is the first African state to become a partner country of the world’s most important agriculture, nutrition and horticulture exhibition. More than 1700 exhibitors from about 70 countries and 400,000 professional and private visitors are expected at the Messe Berlin venue. Alongside the largest range of regional specialities at any trade fair, International Green Week gives a global overview of the food industry in all the world’s continents.

At the core of the conference programme is the 2016 Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) to be held from 14 to 16 January, which is expected to attract around 70 ministers or deputy ministers of agricultural affairs as well as leading representatives of the agro‑food sector. From the simple local produce exchange first held in 1926, International Green Week has grown into the world’s most significant exhibition for the agriculture, food and horticulture sectors. In that time, around 84,700 exhibitors from 128 countries have presented more than 32.1 million professional and private visitors with a comprehensive range of products from every continent. The event organisers for International Green Week Berlin in 2016 are Messe Berlin GmbH. Consultation and support are being provided by the German Farmers’ Association and the Federation of German Food and Drink Industries.
